There are local orchards nearby so we decided to head out one Saturday morning with friends and pick our own peaches. We picked a barrels worth. We ate some and I canned the rest. It was my first canning experience and it was so much easier than I thought it would be.
It was hot and there were bugs so for this reason my girls were ready to go once we picked about half a barrel's worth. It was after this trip that I realized, I HAVE RAISED CITY GIRLS!!

There is nothing that tastes as good as home canned peaches, especially when they are picked by Laney and Kaiyah.
